Kaboom: The Maple Tour
I got a great idea, let's go to Pheonix in the middle of the summer and melt in the 300 degree weather. But don't worry, we'll make sure the van has air-conditioning so the eight hour drive will completely bore us to death. Wait a second, we should probably waste someone's money in the process. How about Maple Skateboards and TransWorld SkateBoarding. We'll trick them into buying us an amp, TV, Atari 2600, and just play old school videogames the whole way out there.
Yeah, that stuff above, that was the plan, and yes it was pretty stupid. Because halfway between SD and the Pheonix inferno we were all fiending like crackheads to get next up on a game called Kaboom. If you've never played Kaboom it goes a bit like this: There's this dude, the mad bomber, he tries to drop bombs on you. And you? You're get to catch these bombs in your water bucket. Splash, splash, boom: you lose.
The Maple crew who became addicted to this game include: Daxter Lussier, Tyler Hansen, Adam Louder, Scott Pazzelt, Dan Roberts, and Brian Jackson. It seemed like the only time we went skating was at night when we would get so pissed at the game we would want to break it. Then whatever unlucky spot we went to would get destroyed.If you're an unbeliever check the videoËœit's kind of for big bandwith ballers (9.7 megs) but it's definitely worth it. You can also check the rest of the photos/story in the upcoming TransWorld SKATEboarding. Oh yeah, high score is 1594.

As if anyone cares we kicked Eric Law off because he dropped out of school and moved. It doesn't matter though he sucked at skating anyway. br>+Medical+

Shit load of new companies.
If you didn't already know.... Well there isn't exactly a shit load but there's a couple new companies. Like The Driven and Obey. And two other tum yeto companies, Hollywood and Ruckus. Well...they're not that new but hey, what the hell. Check out there cool new decks and other skate products they make. And while you are at it look at the new stock of boards (expecialy the new bakers) in any mailorder site or cataloge like, Active Mailorder, CCS, Monster Skate, or Utility board Supply. Oh and I threw in a pic of Andrew Reynolds's deck. And yes I know Baker isn't new. I did it cause I felt like it. That is all. +Medical+
